When we met this widow, we saw both need and strength. She was carrying the responsibility of caring for her children alone, yet she also had a skill that could bless many others: she knew how to sew.
At the same time, we were preparing to open a sewing center for women who need practical skills and dependable work. So instead of solving only one problem, we were able to do both. We rented a home where she and her children can live, and one room will become the sewing center.
She will earn an income teaching sewing, care for the equipment, and help other women learn skills they can use to support their own families. What started as a need for shelter is becoming a place of stability, dignity, and opportunity.
